Try to throw light on it

It feels like someone has a gun to my chest.

Have you even been in an accident, and afterwards you are in shock, everything is moving too fast, and your legs are rubbery from the adrenaline? That's how it feels.

Have you ever explored a place you think is haunted? You want to jump at anything that you see. It's just like that.

It's that moment that you wake up in a cold sweat  realizing what you did or forgot to do.

It's walking through your home at night with a baseball bat in your hands looking for the intruder.

It's being afraid to look under your bed or into mirrors at night. It's being terrified because your closet door is open after you turn the lights  out.

Imagine that someone has your child hostage and they are watching you. If you make one wrong move, they will kill him.

When a cat  goes in to explore a new space, she is so cautious and jumps at any unfamiliar shape. That's me.

It's not feeling safe anywhere.
